Media Relations Intern #1

Public Relations  Media Relations intern #1 will have the following job responsibilities:
  • Responding to media requests
  • Pitching unique story angles to print and electronic media
  • Assisting in statistical analysis and record keeping
  • Research
  • Management/distribution of press clippings/video clips
  • Assisting with the generation of team publications
  • Produce content for both the English/Spanish sections of the website
  • Assisting with special events
  • Distribute credentials on gameday at media will call
  • Organization of team and player photos
  • Distribute copies of stats sheets to the media
  • Coordinate post-game quotes from home and visiting locker rooms

Campus Relations Interns

Puerto Rico's Campus Relations interns will have the following job responsibilities:
  • Placement of PRI merchandise in campus bookstores
  • Pitching stories to campus newspapers
  • Negotiating advertisement purchases in the campus newspaper
  • Main campus contact for individuals seeking information on PRI
  • Represent and promote PRI at campus events (fairs, clubs, etc)
  • Fulfilling everyday errands and projects as necessity arises
The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and be energetic, enthusiastic, and have strong communicative abilities. He/she should also be self-motivated, competitive, and have a willingness to both learn and adapt.

Team Operations Intern 

Team Operations Interns will assist the Team Administrator in a variety of daily tasks. These will include:
  • Help with day-to-day training set-up and practice
  • Be available to help with any administrative needs (data input, faxes, player mail, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license to assist in transportation of players
  • Assist coaches with various assignments (filing player's bios, getting videos of games, etc.)
  • Must be flexible
  • Other duties as assigned

Sales and Marketing Intern

Interns with the sales and marketing team will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the most vital aspects of a professional sports organization.
The Sales and Marketing Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Database and Client Information Management using a ticketing system
  • Organizing lead lists
  • Represent PRI  and Youth Soccer Events.
  • Assist with grassroots marketing at community outreach events
  • Assist with game day operations
  • Create marketing collateral
  • Prepare sales presentations to maximize ticket sales revenue
  • Conduct research on potential leads
  • Candidate must possess at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • They should have superb interpersonal and communication skills.
  • They should be a self-starter and have a competitive attitude.
  • They should have a passion for the game of soccer and want to pursue a career within professional sports.

 Digital Media Intern

PRI  are looking for a Digital Media Intern to assist the Marketing and Media Relations departments. The Digital Media intern will report to the Digital Content Editor and assist with the day to day objectives of the Marketing and Media Relations departments.
Digital Media Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in creating, editing and publishing content for PRIslandersfc.com
  • Assist in developing storylines and creating blog posts
  • Participate in events, promotions, and other activities as required
  • Work with Marketing Director, Coordinator and Digital Content Editor on Social Media Marketing efforts, including strategy, communication and growth of -Facebook, YouTube and Twitter
